Some students may need some assistance, guidance or support in order to better access the curriculum. At GIS this usually done through in-class support or by withdrawal, sometimes it is individually or at other times in small groups. The key is that our Special Educational Needs staff, both teachers and teaching assistants, work to support students based on their individual needs to a programme developed in consultation with the parents.
Detailed information on Learning Support can be found in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Provision 2016-2017 document, which can be found in the Guidebook for Admissions . Learning Support at GIS is at an additional cost to parents.
