Year 10 and 11 (IGCSE)

Year 10 and 11 (IGCSE)

We offer a curriculum using the British system as a framework and modified to suit the needs of our international intake. In Years 10 and 11 students study for the IGCSE qualifications through Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an internationally-recognised and respected qualification. It is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to16 year olds, taken in over 140 countries and in more than 2,900 schools around the world.

All Year 10 and 11 students at GIS study a balanced range of IGCSE courses, with some talented Year 9 and 10 students entering for Mathematics, Mandarin or English as a Second Language.

Here you can see the descriptors for the Secondary Themes used in Years 10 and 11 and the Effort and Homework criteria used for all students in Secondary.
