Head of Years 3 and 4 Mr Michael George
Michael George is an enthusiastic teacher who has over ten years of experience.
He has a science degree and as such always endeavors to encourage his students to have an open and inquiring approach to their learning. Mr Michael also loves art and seizes any opportunity to allow his students to express themselves creatively in the classroom.
When he is not at school he is usually fully occupied running around after his triplets, sometimes gardening and occasionally going to the gym.

Mrs Christina Northrup
Ms Christina is a Canadian teacher who joined GIS in 2016 as a Year 3 teacher. Previously she taught at international schools in Shanghai and Cairo and in ESL schools in Taiwan and Japan. Ms Christina completed her Bachelor of Education in Vancouver and her undergraduate degree in London. She has a keen interest in global issues and is an active member of the Global Action committee. She is very much enjoying her time in Thailand and she loves to travel and learn about new cultures. Ms Christina is married to Mr Mark who is also a Primary teacher; they have two children who attend GIS.
Mrs Jennifer Blais
Ms Jenn joined GIS with her family in 2009, having previously taught in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, New Zealand and Ukraine. She has a background in teaching English as a Second Language and enjoys the challenges that come with teaching children with a variety of different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Ms Jenn has a love for everything theatrical; she has directed the yearly Primary Production for the past 5 years and assists where and when possible with the Secondary Productions. When not at school, Ms Jenn enjoys reading and cooking.
Mr Matthew Sherwen
Mr Matt joined GIS from Phuket in 2017, where he taught a variety of levels over the course of 12 years. For the final three years of that time he was the academic manager and head of a small international primary school. Before becoming a teacher, Mr Matt attained his Bachelor of Science degree in ecology from the University of Salford in the UK. He lives in Ban Chang with his fiancée, May, her two children, and their own son, Narvin. Mr Matt really loves the outdoors and enjoys working on various design projects. He is currently designing his own cedar-strip canoe and hopes to launch it into the Gulf of Thailand before the end of the year! He also enjoys skating, swimming, playing guitar and exploring off the beaten path.
Khun Pat – TA
K.Pat moved to Ban Chang few years ago and began her work at Ramayana Waterpark in Chonburi. She loved playing with the children while she was working there and decided to pursue a career in education. Now she is working in Primary in Year 3 and Year 4. At the weekends she likes to bake, or if she has time go trekking or hiking in the mountains around Thailand.
