Mr Kenneth Lund – Head of Arts
Mr Lund joined GIS from the USA in 2009 where he worked as a Primary school counsellor. He holds a BFA in Drama from the New School University in New York City and a PGCE from Sunderland University in the UK. He also holds a qualification in school counselling teens and adolescents. Mr Lund enjoys leading school activities such as the Secondary production, Music, Art and Drama (MAD) Night and organising the LAMDA examinations. Outside of school Mr Lund enjoys travelling and spending time with his family.

Mr Allan Aquino – Music Teacher p/t
Mr Aquino has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Philippines. He joined GIS in 2011 as an itinerant music teacher. He teaches instrumental lessons to both Primary and Secondary students and helps with Primary productions. Aside from playing music, Mr Aquino enjoys playing basketball, running and walking in the park with his family.
Mr Michael Whyte – Music Teacher
Mr Whyte is an energetic and enthusiastic teacher and musician from Scotland who has a wealth of UK and overseas experience delivering inspiring and interactive experiences in music to both Primary and Secondary students. At GIS he teaches IGCSE Music to Year 10 and 11 as well as taking a TOK IB class. He is also responsible for teaching Year 8 and Year 6 music classes. As well as a passion for music and specifically piano, Mr Whyte is also a certified coach and public speaking mentor. He is joined here in Thailand by his wife Lee-Rae.
Mr Patrick Nolan – Art Teacher
Mr Nolan joined GIS from the UK in 2016, where he had lived and worked in London for the previous four years. Mr Nolan holds a PGCE in Art and Design as well as a degree in illustration. In his spare time Mr Nolan is very active and takes part in a number of sports. He also enjoys travelling and still finds time to continue with his own illustration work on the side.
Mrs Dee Leong – Music Teacher
Ms Leong grew up in Malaysia, but has been bouncing around the globe since university years. She completed her degrees in the United States and has worked in the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, and the University of Pennsylvania. She has taught children from toddlers to college level in the US, Malaysia, India and El Salvador. She is an animal lover and one day hopes to own a self-sustaining farm. Besides playing the piano (it's a passion, not a job), her other hobbies include painting, cooking and salsa dancing.
Mrs Michelle Peralta – Music Teacher/Instrumental Lesson Coordinator
Ms Peralta came to Thailand in 2005 having worked at St John Mary International School in Saraburi before joining GIS in 2009. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education majoring in Music. Ms Peralta likes to teach music in Secondary but also loves to teach Primary as well. Away from school, Ms Peralta enjoys sports, reading and travelling with her husband and their two cats.
Mr Tom Stacey – Art Teacher
Mr Stacey joined GIS from London, where he worked in schools for three years. Prior to that he worked as a chef in a central London restaurant and originally trained as an architect. He is joined by his partner, Miss Morris. Outside of school Mr Stacey is a passionate cook and cyclist.
