Top Exam Results in Thailand 2019 (2)
Ellen - Top in Thailand for English Literature 2019
We are delighted to announce that two of our GIS students have been recognised as the Top Students in Thailand for their IGCSE examination results this year. Vedant Iyer was awarded the 'Top Student in Thailand' for his Co-ordinated Science examination, and Ellen Dowling was awarded the 'Top Student in Thailand' for her examination in English (World Literature). It is quite remarkable, given the huge number of international schools in Thailand, that GIS students claimed 2 of just 27 'Top in Thailand' awards given for the June 2019 examination series.
Vedant and Ellen's achievements are the latest in a long line of successes by GIS scholars; over the years our students have been awarded commendations, 'Top in Thailand'  and 'Top of the World' awards over 15 times in our 25-year history, which is remarkable for a school of our size.
Vedant and Ellen will be awarded a special commemorative plaque at a ceremony in Bangkok on 27 November and their images will join the long line of previous winners displayed in our 'Top Achievers' gallery. Congratulations to them and to the teaching staff and the families who helped the students achieve these outstanding results.
