All scholarship students must have and maintain an exemplary record in terms of attendance and behaviour.
Scholarships may be awarded against tuition fees only, with a maximum value of 25%.
The scholarship discount does not apply to examination fees and related administrative costs, trips or resource funds, and replaces any other discount already applied. Scholarships are not available to students receiving corporate discounts.
Scholarships are reviewed every year and will be withdrawn with a minimum of one term’s notice if students do not continue to meet the criteria stated above.
Applications may be made at any time, and Scholarships will normally be awarded from the start of the following academic year; they will not be applied retrospectively.
The final decision regarding the award of any scholarship rests with the Principal. The school’s decision regarding Scholarships is final and non-negotiable. All matters relating to Scholarships will remain totally confidential at all times and any disclosure of information to a third party may result in the Scholarship being removed.
The Sports programme at GIS is available to all students in the school and from these teams are selected to represent the school as a GIS Titan in many of the sports offered. Sports clubs in both Primary and Secondary allow students to pursue their passions and give them the opportunity to try new sports , Which we encourage them to continue when moving on from GIS at the end of their school lives.
