Ror Dor - Reserve Officer Training Corps

At Garden, we are proud to offer our male students the unique opportunity to participate in the Reserve Officer Training Corps, known in Thailand as the Ror Dor program. This esteemed program, recognized nationwide, provides students aged 15 and above with valuable military training, discipline, and leadership skills while fulfilling Thailand’s national service requirements.

The Ror Dor program at GIS is specially structured to fit within our students’ schedules, offering training sessions on weekends. This arrangement allows students to continue excelling academically while developing lifelong skills and values that are respected across both civilian and military spheres.

Why Join the Ror Dor Program?

1. Exemption from Military Conscription:
Students who complete all three years of the Ror Dor program are eligible for exemption from Thailand’s mandatory military draft at age 21. This offers a fulfilling way to serve the nation while continuing education uninterrupted.

2. Leadership and Personal Development:
From basic drills to advanced tactics and command training, the Ror Dor program instills essential life skills—leadership, discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Each year introduces students to more advanced responsibilities, helping them grow in confidence and capability.

3. Physical Fitness and Health:
The program emphasizes physical fitness and endurance. Students engage in regular physical activities, including running, strength training, and more. They learn the importance of physical health and build the stamina to take on challenges in both military and civilian settings.

Commitment and Schedule

Our Ror Dor program is thoughtfully designed to integrate with students’ regular schedules, making it easy to participate without impacting academic commitments. Training sessions are held on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a comprehensive yet manageable experience.
