Garden House System

The House Event Calendar is filled with a diverse range of activities and competitions, including House MAD (Music, Art, and Drama), sporting tournaments, quizzes, and talent shows, giving students the opportunity to express their creativity, develop their academic strengths, and showcase their sporting skills. The House System is truly inclusive, ensuring every student has a chance to participate and shine.

Each House is led by a team of student Captains, elected by their peers. These Captains serve as role models, taking on responsibilities that demand initiative, problem-solving, and leadership. They are instrumental in raising team spirit, supporting younger students, and helping teachers drive collaboration across the Houses. Regular meetings ensure that activities run smoothly and that the voices of students remain central to the system’s success.

Teachers also award points throughout the year, recognising effort, teamwork, kindness, and achievement. This incentive not only fuels friendly competition but also encourages students to embody values that build character and prepare them to thrive in the wider world.

At the end of the academic year, the House with the highest score earns a special celebration in the form of a House Party, in addition to the class parties that take place for all students. This final event is a joyful reward for a year of dedication, teamwork, and spirit, and it stands as a lasting reminder of the pride, unity, and lifelong memories that the House System creates for every member of our school community.
