Why send your children to the summer camp?

The summer camp at GIS will be a place where children can have lots of fun and learn with their friends during part of the long summer holidays. Through engaging activities, children will express themselves, be creative, learn to work together in a team and most of all, enjoy themselves!

Who can attend the summer camp?

For 2024, our summer camp is open to all schools for children who are currently in either Reception (FS2) and Primary. These are children who are 4 years old to 11 years old.

When and where will the summer camp happen?

The camp will take place (mostly) on the GIS campus from Monday to Friday (9:00 am-3:00 pm) for the two weeks from Monday the 24th June to Friday 5th of July.

What sorts of activities will there be?

Children will be involved in a variety of engaging activities either as part of their group or as a whole. Example activities include drama, arts & crafts, design and technology, ICT, swimming, sports, games, music, dance and team challenges. Please see the attached timetable for a more detailed insight into the types of activities the children will do.

How much will the summer camp be? Are there any promotions?

20,000 Baht for the two weeks or 12,000 Baht for any one of those weeks.

Final payments are due before Friday 14th of June, 2024 and all payments should be made at the Uniform Office. There are limited spaces so book your place early!

Any extra siblings receive a 50% discount and there is an early bird discount of 10% for any fee paid before 1st May, 2024.

What is the refund policy?

In the event that the school is unable to run the camp due to insufficient numbers, or has to close because of a government or local council directive, full refunds will be provided. Otherwise, no refunds will be available.

Will the children be insured?

For existing GIS students, the insurance the children already have at school covers all activities within the school for the entire year, including our camp activities.

For non-GIS students, guardians will need to provide their own insurance.

Will there be any trips outside of school?

Trips will happen on Fridays. In the first week, the children will visit either Ramayana or Aquaverse Swimming Park. In the second week, the children will visit Harborland.

Which teachers and TA’s are involved in the camp?

Mr Matt Sherwen will be running the camp with supporting teachers Ms Fiona Scott, Mr Michael George, and TA (Teaching Assistant), Khun Phat. Nurse Yvonne will be our full-time first aider/TA. Depending on numbers we may require more teachers and TAs.
